Today I will be telling you about two simple machines. The first is the mortar and pestle, and the second is the rolling pin.

The mortar and pestle can grind all whole herbs into powder. You can season foods with spices ground into powder for flavor.

Second, the rolling pin flattens and spreads dough. The dough can then be used for recipes like tortillas, pies, pasta, pizza and some breads.

The mortar and pestle, and the rolling pin were invented a long time ago but are still used wildly around the world, timeless, and they do not need battery.
