Four small inventions that impacted culture are, the wheel barrow, soap, the heavy plough, and stirrups.
First, the wheel barrow helped move more soil at one time. It also helped with moving heavy stones, bricks, or tools, more easily. The wheel barrow would also help build a home a lot faster. In Greece all these inventions made it easier for slaves to do work in Greece. In Greek life slaves were used to complete work because Greek culture celebrated laziness. Their goal was to get others to do work for them. Therefore, inventions like the wheel barrow offered slaves more ease and efficiency in providing the aristocracy with goods. Alternatively, the Christian belief of work ethic includes worship and service to God. The bible encourages diligence and hard work. Christians believe in using their talents and skills for the benefit of others. The Christian view of work ethic would see the wheel barrow as an opportunity to build homes for others more quickly and easily.
Second was soap. Soap helped remove grease, dirt, and germs. It also helped clean clothes, pots, pans, knives, shoes, and themselves. The Greek slaves used soap for the same reasons.
Third, there is the heavy plough. The heavy plough made plowing a lot faster because oxen or horses would pull the plough rather than people. It helped the Christian farmers make a lot more food to feed themselves. This allowed other people the ability to get food from farmers but not have to grow it. The heavy plough also made work more efficient so farmers had more time to do other things.
Lastly, stirrups were a great invention. Christians used stirrups to help them ride horses easier, while being safe. For the Greeks, stirrups helped the slaves bring things to the house using a horse and wagon.
All of these inventions helped the Greek slaves and the Christians do things more efficiently without as much physical labor.
